Benedict Moore is set to join a top league team for a month-long trial
Careysburg, July 18, 2026 — In a major development for the youngster, Benedict Moore, the Club has reached an agreement with First Division side Discoveries Football Club for a month-long trial, which is deemed a career-defining opportunity for the young defender.
The promising defender, whose consistent performances have drawn widespread interest from other top-flight clubs like Blackman Warrior, will spend the next four weeks training in a bid to secure a loan deal.
The CEO and player’s manager, J. Raymond Alpha, confirmed that the move is part of the team’s ongoing effort to showcase our young talents on bigger platforms. The upcoming four-week assessment will test Benedict’s technical abilities, physical sharpness, and tactical versatility against higher-tier competition.
“During my last conversation with the CEO of Discoveries, they are yet to secure a slot at the TUSA Field for their regular practice. Once that is done, the trial commencement date will be communicated. This opportunity was actually secured for three (3) players, but so far, the other two (2) players are not yet ready,” J. Raymond Alpha
If the month-long stint proves successful, a formal loan negotiation is expected to follow shortly after the 2026 National County Sports Meet and the first phase of the third-division league.
